Job Description

The Senior Civil Designer / Modeler will play a key technical role in project delivery, applying their expertise in civil design and modeling to develop high-quality solutions. This role involves designing roads, carparks, earthworks, drainage, utility services, water and sewer systems, and pavements, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and ANZ-based stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met efficiently and accurately.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and review detailed civil design drawings, models, and documentation using AutoCAD, 12d, Civil 3D, and other relevant design tools
  • Develop and manage 3D models to support project execution
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, surveyors, and planners, to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Ensure designs meet client specifications, ANZ standards or similar, environmental regulations, and safety standards
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical reporting
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks are achieved
  • Mentor junior designers and review their work for technical accuracy and compliance
  • Liaise with ANZ-based stakeholders and clients for project updates and reviews
  • Stay updated with ANZ design standards, codes, and best practices
  • Support tender preparation, cost estimation, and technical proposals when required

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary Engineering qualification
  • Minimum 10 years of design experience with a background and interest in roads, carparks, earthworks, drainage, utility services designs, pavement design, and related civil infrastructure
  • Proven skills in design and documentation of civil infrastructure to ANZ standards or similar
  • Proficiency in industry design software, including 12d, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD
  • Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering design standards and practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, teamwork, and self-motivation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a remote or multi-location team setting
