Job Description:

Senior CIB Portfolio Manager role in Fund Finance team within CIB's Banking group, providing financing to private equity funds and asset managers through structured and syndicated credit facilities. The role involves credit analysis, underwriting, and working as part of a global team across US and UK.

Job Responsibility:

Developing a credit understanding of clients and collateral
Developing understanding of structured products
Prepare credit review and underwriting documents
Work as active deal team member from India
Day-to-day communication with deal team members in US and UK, legal teams, and credit teams
Preparation and review of 20-30 pager credit papers
Financial analysis review and risk assessment of investors
Review ongoing client reporting for completeness & accuracy
Understand legal documentation and infer legal opinion
Maintain various databases and spreadsheets for internal reporting
Track and report on financial trends
Prepare monthly &/or quarterly decks
Train & mentor junior colleagues

Requirements:

4+ years of Experience in CIB Portfolio Management or equivalent
At least an MBA or a CA, or an equivalent qualification
4+ years of experience in credit analysis, corporate lending or structured finance in either a bank or rating agency
Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
High level of personal motivation, strong interpersonal skills
Basic to Advanced excel skills
Basic understanding of legal terms used in Banking
Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment
Attention to detail
Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Ability to mentor and guide juniors

Nice to have:

CFA level I, II or III
Understanding of, and experience with, VBA or Power BI
Experience in writing detailed credit memos/papers
