Senior Childrens Residential Support Worker role looking after Young People with mild to moderate learning disabilities. Shift patterns on a rolling rota basis, working hours: 07.30am-23.00pm per shift. Days of working can vary from week to week. Sleep in shifts are required.
Job Responsibility:
Helping to create a positive environment for each young person with particular reference to his/her safety, health and education
Helping to carry the homes ethos and values through to the young people and represent Blue Mountain Homes as a professional
Maintaining good professional practices in accordance with Ofsted Regulations and the Quality Care Standards for children’s homes
Engaging in the effective delivery of residential childcare in accordance with Company
Undertaking sleep in shifts
Requirements:
Experience working in a Children’s Home
Achieved the Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care
Valid manual UK/EU Driving Licence
Experience with Learning Disability (preferred)
Experience with Residential Child Care (preferred)
Commitment and a desire to bring about a positive change in the lives of young people
Nice to have:
Experience of working with Autism, ADHD and non-verbal
Knowledge of Makaton or PECs
