Job Description:

Senior Social Worker role with Bradford Children and Families Trust (via Bradford Metropolitan District Council). This role applies to case-holding social workers in: Locality Teams (long-term child protection & CIN work), IFD (Integrated Front Door) (referrals & initial assessments), Leaving Care (supporting care leavers into adulthood). Hybrid working setup with expectation to attend office for key meetings, team collaboration days, and certain case-related duties.

Job Responsibility:

  • Safeguarding children, especially those at risk of significant harm
  • Risk assessment & management, including complex decision-making
  • Taking professional accountability for decisions made
  • Delivering frontline social work services, including: Assessments, Case planning, Reviews
  • Supporting social care delivery in community settings
  • Managing a caseload independently

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker (e.g., Social Work degree registration)
  • Strong experience in children’s services
  • Ability to handle complex/high-risk cases
  • Confident decision-making and safeguarding knowledge
