Senior Residential Care Worker - Children & Young People (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) Location: Halifax Salary: £34,434 - £39,152 (NJC pt. 23-28) plus shift allowance Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week, including weekends, evenings, sleep-ins, and bank holidays) Are you passionate about making a positive difference in young lives? Our client, a reputable provider of residential care, is hiring for a dedicated Senior Residential Care Worker to join their caring team in Brighouse. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people in a nurturing, trauma-informed environment guided by the PACE model, helping them feel safe, valued, and understood.

Job Responsibility

  • Delivering high-quality care tailored to each child's needs, including personal and intimate care where required
  • Supporting children and young people's emotional, social, and physical development
  • Building trusting, professional relationships with children, young people, and colleagues
  • Contributing to care planning and safeguarding, ensuring coordinated support

Requirements

  • Experience working in residential care with children and young people
  • Level 4 Health & Social Care qualification or NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)
