Job Description:

Senior Chef de Cuisine position at The Ritz-Carlton Doha, responsible for overseeing restaurant kitchen operations, ensuring culinary standards, managing kitchen staff, and creating memorable dining experiences while upholding the luxury service standards of The Ritz-Carlton brand.

Job Responsibility:

Accountable for quality, consistency and production of restaurant kitchen
Coordinate menus, purchasing, staffing and food preparation
Work with team to improve guest and employee satisfaction
Maintain operating budget
Ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved
Develop and train team to improve results
Develop new applications, ideas, relationships, systems or products including artistic contributions
Plan and manage food quantities and plating requirements
Create decorative food displays
Lead, influence and encourage kitchen team
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with employees

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years experience
Supervising restaurant kitchen shift operations
Ensuring compliance with Food & Beverage policies and standards
Maintaining food preparation and storage standards
Developing daily and seasonal menu items
Preparing and cooking foods of all types
Supervising and coordinating activities of cooks and kitchen workers
Managing restaurant kitchen employees
Cross-training employees
