Job Responsibility:

  • Organize, plan, and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
  • Communicate timely to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
  • Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet expectations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, and processes
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances
  • Sell and influence both internal and external clients
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating issues and determining solutions
  • Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand guest needs, providing direction and coaching
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with sales process as necessary
  • Handle other duties as necessary based on business needs

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least three years of professional experience in hotel catering and event sales
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex social events
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in sales management technology such as Delphi
  • Excellent organizational and negotiation skills
