Responsible for handling local social catering opportunities for the property. Responsible for achieving and exceeding the hotel catering sales revenue goals. Provides day-to-day supervision to Catering Sales associates. Contracts and closes local catering and social business, and ensures that business is turned over properly for quality service delivery. Implements the brand's service strategy and drives customer loyalty by delivering service excellence.

Ensure proper and timely turnover of business for quality service delivery
Implement brand's service strategy and applicable brand initiatives
Drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence
Identify, qualify and solicit new catering business
Proactively solicit affiliate business associated with citywide events
Maximize revenue by up-selling packages and creative food and beverage offerings
Manage sales efforts for local social catering business
Respond to incoming catering opportunities
Design, develop, and sell creative catered events
Develop and manage catering sales revenue and operation budgets
Work collaboratively with property Sales and Marketing colleagues
Develop close working relationship with operations
Work with Food and Beverage team to develop menus
Interact effectively with vendors, competitors, local community, catering associations
Serve customers by understanding their business, issues and concerns
Monitor effective resolution of guest issues
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
2 years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area
OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major

Understanding of overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand
Negotiating skills and creative selling abilities
Ability to design, develop, and sell creative catered events
Ability to develop and manage catering sales revenue and operation budgets
Ability to work collaboratively with property Sales and Marketing colleagues and other hotel departments
