Job Description:

As a Senior Category Manager, you'll play a crucial role in delivering commercial value across defined sub-categories within Bank of Ireland's wider category portfolio. Working closely with the Head of Category and business collaborators, you'll develop sourcing strategies, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support the Bank's transformation priorities. This role offers the opportunity to influence decision-making, optimize third party spend and build resilient, well-governed supply chains in a highly regulated environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the development and delivery of sub-category strategies aligned to Group priorities, regulatory requirements, and demand forecasts
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activity, including market analysis, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution
  • Manage supplier performance across assigned sub-categories, driving service improvements, commercial optimisation, and risk mitigation
  • Work with Risk, Legal, Information Security, and Data Protection teams to ensure sourcing activity is compliant, robust, and well-governed
  • Contribute to procurement governance, reporting, and continuous improvement, supporting audit, regulatory, and transformation initiatives

Requirements:

Demonstrable experience in procurement, category management, commercial management, or supply chain within a regulated organisation

Nice to have:

  • Supporting transformation, digitalization, or operational improvement programs
  • Working with innovative supplier models, pilots, or proof-of-concept initiatives
  • A professional procurement qualification such as CIPS
