Job Description:

CVS Health’s Enterprise Procurement department, a key function within the company’s Finance Global Business Services organization, is in search of a Sourcing Category Manager who be responsible for the Enterprise Services IT spend category. This includes Enterprise IT Services with supplier in sub-categories such as hardware, labor, software, cloud, data center, network/telephony and end user compute. This role will be responsible for defining and executing sourcing strategies that drive P&L value across the services within the assigned CVS Health spend category.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and maintain short, medium and long-term category management and strategic sourcing plans
Establish scheduled sourcing and category management reviews and planning sessions with key leaders
Lead and mentor category manager and analyst level resources on sourcing activities
Accountable for development and delivery of savings targets
Lead and manage deliver of major Sourcing events with high complexity
Continually educate key leaders within the assigned business area on CVS Health policies and processes
Maintain status of all completed, active, and planned sourcing activities
Build Category Strategy and pipeline of opportunities
Maintain strong working relationship with CVS Health’s business and vendor management teams
Advise key business leaders on the development of bid strategies
Ensure that CVS Health’s business leaders are utilizing preferred suppliers
Ensure that key commercial principals are thoroughly developed in conjunction with CVS Health’s contracting team

Requirements:

7+ years of professional experience related to IT Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
Experience in effectively managing healthcare platforms & solutions spend
Demonstrated experience in building category management strategies
Significant experience of building and presenting complex business cases to senior leaders
Ability to travel up to 10% for supplier presentations, site visits, and key department meetings
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent years of related experience

Nice to have:

MBA or relevant master’s degree
Experience with leading and implementing and workflow development of electronic sourcing platforms
Strong background in leading and using of Project/Program Management tools and methodology
