ResMed’s Global Supplier Alliance (GSA) team is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Category Manager - IT Professional Services, to lead supplier management and commercial strategies for a critical ERP Transformation Program (Ignite). This role is responsible for managing business-critical IT suppliers, optimizing engagement costs, and ensuring effective contract and supplier relationship management. Reporting to the Indirect Procurement IT Portfolio Manager, this role will work closely with project teams, legal, finance, and IT stakeholders to drive well-governed and efficient procurement processes that support ResMed’s transformation objectives and BAU operational requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for suppliers delivering services for the ERP Transformation Program and BAU operational requirements, ensuring governance, performance management, and spend optimization
  • Partner with senior leaders and project management stakeholders to align vendor engagement with business needs and contractual obligations
  • Oversee contract compliance, ensuring vendors meet performance milestones, key deliverables, and cost efficiency targets
  • Provide strategic guidance to the ERP Transformation Program Director on supplier contract management, commercial risks, and vendor expectations
  • Develop and execute category management strategies that align with ResMed’s operational and strategic goals
  • Drive commercial and cost control strategies for procurement, ensuring sustainable value and cost optimization
  • Work cross-functionally with project teams, legal, and finance to develop effective procurement policies and procedures
  • Negotiate commercial agreements to secure favourable terms, mitigate risks, and drive efficiency across supplier engagements
  • Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on procurement decisions related to large-scale IT transformation projects and BAU operational requirements
  • Extract business requirements from stakeholders, manage RFP processes, and drive negotiations with suppliers
  • Maintain a deep understanding of cost structures, contractual frameworks, and supplier capabilities to inform sourcing strategies
  • Influence decision-making across the organization, ensuring strategic alignment and compliance with procurement best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, procurement, business, or a related field (MCIPS / ISM qualification preferred)
  • 10+ years of procurement experience, with a strong track record in large-scale complex contracting models
  • IT transformation projects experience is advantageous
  • Expertise in supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and category management
  • Proven ability to drive commercial value, manage risks, and optimize procurement strategies
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering with senior stakeholders in legal, finance, and IT
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions and drive change
