At Connection Support, we believe in a future where people are free from crisis. And for the times when crises do happen, we’ll be there every step of the way. We are recruiting a Senior Case Worker to join our Integrated Floating Support Service in Milton Keynes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting people with a history of, or at risk of, rough sleeping to take positive steps towards sustaining settled accommodation and improving their overall quality of life
  • Taking the lead in delivering trauma-conscious, strengths-based support, recognising each person’s unique circumstances and empowering them to make meaningful changes
  • Supporting access to appropriate services that promote recovery, stability and long-term independence
  • Supporting the Team Manager with the induction and development of new staff
  • Contributing to the promotion and ongoing development of the service
  • Assisting with monitoring and reporting requirements

Requirements:

  • Significant experience of working in substance misuse, housing, homelessness, mental health or a related field
  • Demonstrable experience of using trauma-informed/conscious practice
  • Good knowledge of housing processes and welfare benefits
  • Ability to support individuals to access and navigate a range of services
  • Understanding of local community resources and the importance of partnership working
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • Resilient, solution-focused and able to work creatively to overcome barriers
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and maintaining accurate records
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential

  • Liaise between internal and external stakeholders, including claimants, leaders, medical practitioners, case managers, rehabilitation providers, and allied health professionals, to ensure process efficiency and outcome focused goals
  • Participate in regular claims reviews and report on workers compensation claims progress and associated cost implications to management
