Working with a dynamic and highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will provide high quality expert clinical care and case management to young people, their families and carers referred for an admission into the AIPU. As the Senior Case Manager, you will also provide leadership and professional supervision within your specific discipline and offer guidance and support to their immediate team and to the broader Infant Child Youth and Mental Health Service (ICYMHS). Contributions to staff learning, skill development and research are expected.
Job Responsibility
Lead a small team of mental health clinicians that provide case management to our young people, their families and carers
Work with young people, their families and support network to facilitate their recovery journey and implement goals to work towards their discharge plan
Assess the clinical risk of each young person and effectively manage this risk through planning and intervention in conjunction with the Consultant Psychiatrist
Collaborate with the entire multidisciplinary team on AIPU on contributing to a healthy, productive and dynamic team culture to ensure better outcomes for young people in our care
Work collaboratively with the lived experience workforce empowering them in their roles and learning from them to improve practices for self and others.
Requirements
Case management experience working in mental health
Related discipline of psychology, nursing, social work, occupational therapy or speech therapy with current Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) where applicable
Psychologists must be registered with a specialist endorsement in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology or Forensic Psychology
Nurses must have a Post Graduate Qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent
Social Workers – Eligibility for membership with Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
