We are partnering with a large, well-known care provider to recruit a dedicated Senior Care Worker to join their committed team. This is a pivotal role where you will act as a senior member of staff, providing essential support to service users and efficiently managing your own care team.
Job Responsibility:
Team Leadership: Planning, allocating, and supervising the work of staff team, including conducting formal supervision and appraisal meetings
Operational Management: Assisting with rota planning, providing management cover in the absence of the Service Manager/Deputy, ensuring the safety and security of the building
Care Planning: Acting as a key worker for designated service users, leading the compilation, monitoring, and review of person-centred care plans
Quality & Compliance: Taking charge of medication management (ordering, administering, and auditing), assisting in auditing against quality standards and service improvement plans
Staff Development: Being involved in recruitment, induction, identifying training needs, and assessing staff for SVQs
Promoting Wellbeing: Ensuring a safe, secure, and supportive environment, promoting the wellbeing of all service users with dignity and respect
Undertake occasional "sleep-in" duties
Requirements:
SVQ level 3
Ability to complete further qualifications (PDA supervision, PDA medication, SVQ 4, workplace assessor's award)
