Job Description:

At Derwent, we’re searching for an experienced Senior Care Assistant (Bank) to help guide our incredible care team and support our residents in living happy, healthy and independent lives. If you’ve got experience in care and have previously helped to supervise a team, this could be the perfect role for you. As a Senior Carer, you’ll combine hands-on care with supervisory duties.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coaching and mentoring your team so they’re confident and skilled in every part of their role
  • Supporting residents with a range of personal care needs, while making sure dignity, respect, and privacy are always maintained
  • Ensuring every resident has a comprehensive and up-to-date care plan that reflects their needs, and making sure your team follows it to the letter
  • Dispensing medication with accuracy and care, keeping detailed records as you go

Requirements:

  • Experience in care
  • Previously helped to supervise a team
  • Good English and numeracy skills
  • Passion for caring
