Job Description:

Senior Care at Home Worker position with Trust Housing Association Ltd, working within Housing Development at Glen Iosal, Breadalbane Street Tobermory, Isle of Mull. Operating on rota basis between 7am through to 10pm seven days a week, supervising other Care at Home Workers who drop-in on older and vulnerable adult tenants each day.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise other Care at Home Workers
  • Provide support with daily living tasks and help around the home
  • Provide care needs based on individual care plans
  • Spend time with each resident dependent on individual needs
  • Personal care - help with getting in and out bed, washing, bathing and dressing
  • Overseeing medication (training provided)
  • Housework - help with tasks around the home such as laundry, vacuuming or preparing light meals
  • Medication - maintain accurate notes and records
  • Administer medication
  • Provide personal support
  • Help with meals

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in care sector preferred but not essential
  • Passion, empathy and dedication
  • Friendly, approachable and passionate about helping people
  • Experience working with older people or vulnerable members of community
  • Understanding of needs and how to meet them
  • SVQ in Health and Social Care or relevant qualification (or commitment to work towards one)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic IT skills (use of tablets and laptops for rota planning, note taking, incident reporting, online training)
  • Must reside in UK with legal right to work in UK
  • Willing to register with SSSC
  • Complete mandatory training within timeframe
  • Commitment to studying for SVQ if not already held

  • Experience in care sector and working with older people or vulnerable members of community
  • SVQ in Health and Social Care or relevant qualification
