Senior Care Assistant role at Kincaid House in Greenock, part of Meallmore, Scotland’s most trusted care provider. The role is key to supporting Registered Nurses in working together to enrich residents’ lives by providing high standards of person-centred care whilst leading and supporting the team.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting the Registered Nurse/Team Leader to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the comprehensive care needs of each resident
Delivering hands on personal care, leadership and support to provide the highest standards of person-centred care
Motivating and supervising the care team, ensuring you have oversight of your team performance, providing coaching, mentoring and leadership support
Maintain accurate records of the job you do which will include completing assessments, writing care plans, resident reviews, and evaluations
Administering medication
Leading by example in setting high standards of care and support, encouraging a positive work environment where practices are safe and meet all relevant standards, policies, and legislation
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a senior care worker in a similar care setting is essential
Professional, compassionate, kind and motivated with a sense of fun
Ability to lead, motivate, inspire and develop a team
Organised, flexible in your approach and have great communication and leadership skills
Confident in the use of IT applications
Registered as a supervisor with the Scottish Social Services Council within the necessary time frame
Practice and supervisory qualification/s SVQ level 3 or higher, or its equivalent in Social Services & Healthcare
