Senior Care Assistant

• Supporting the Registered Nurse/Team Leader to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the comprehensive care needs of each resident
• Delivering hands on personal care, leadership and support to provide the highest standards of person-centred care
• Motivating and supervising the care team, ensuring you have oversight of your team performance, providing coaching, mentoring and leadership support
• Maintain accurate records of the job you do which will include completing assessments, writing care plans, resident reviews, and evaluations
• Administering medication
• Leading by example in setting high standards of care and support, encouraging a positive work environment where practices are safe and meet all relevant standards, policies, and legislation

• Previous experience working as a senior care worker in a similar care setting is essential
• Professional, compassionate, kind and motivated with a sense of fun
• Ability to lead, motivate, inspire and develop a team
• Organised, flexible in your approach and have great communication and leadership skills
• Confident in the use of IT applications
• Registered as a supervisor with the Scottish Social Services Council within the necessary time frame
• Practice and supervisory qualification/s SVQ level 3 or higher, or its equivalent in Social Services & Healthcare
