Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a - Senior Care Assistant to work NIGHTS at Paradise House, Paradise Lane, Leyland on a rota basis - 33hrs per week - 8pm - 8am. *Alternate weekend availability required!* Our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Demonstrate compassion, empathy and a person-centred approach to caring for older people
  • Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised
  • Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Home
  • Managing the care team within the Home and ensuring that care staff are adhering to CQC guidelines whilst providing exceptional levels of care to residents
  • Promote and deliver high standards of care and supervise and support less experienced staff to enable them to fully contribute to the care provided within the Home

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Committed to providing a high standard of care, promoting dignity and respect
  • Previous experience working within an elderly care setting
  • Team player but able to work on your own initiative
  • Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the Home
  • Previous supervisory experience within a care/nursing home setting and experience of working with the elderly
  • A minimum of a NVQ level 3 in health & social care along with a dedicated passion for providing exceptional care
