Senior Care Assistant - Elderly Care. Are you an experienced Senior Care Assistant looking for your next opportunity in elderly care in Leeds and Garforth? We are recruiting for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join a well-established elderly care home in Garforth, supporting residents with high-quality, person-centred elderly care. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Senior Care Assistant who thrives in elderly care and wants to be part of a supportive, professional team.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver outstanding elderly care in line with person-centred care plans
  • Lead and support Care Assistants on shift
  • Complete and review care plans and risk assessments
  • Monitor resident wellbeing and respond to changes in condition
  • Liaise with families and healthcare professionals
  • Support medication management and ordering
  • Participate in on-call duties (as part of a rota)
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards and elderly care regulations
  • Conduct supervisions, audits, and support staff development

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in health and social care
  • At least 1 year's experience within a care home (elderly care essential)
  • Level 2 Health & Social Care (essential)
  • Level 3 Health & Social Care (desirable or willing to work towards)
  • Experience at Senior Care Assistant level within elderly care
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
