Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join our Cardiology Department. The successful candidate will be familiar with the techniques and range of equipment used in current medical practice for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients referred to the Cardiology Department.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform and interpret the following: ECG’s, Stress tests, Holter monitoring & analysis, BP Monitors & analysis, Event monitors & analysis
  • Evidence of knowledge in all core areas, but with a specialist knowledge in cardiac pacing & rhythm-management
  • Support the Head of Department in the implementation of initiatives aimed at improving and developing the service of the Cardiology Department

Requirements:

  • BSc. in Clinical Measurement Science, Clinical Measurement Physiology, or equivalent qualification
  • Evidence of post-graduate cardiac rhythm-management and/or echocardiography experience e.g. BHRS, IBHRE, BSE, EACVI, ARDMS qualifications
  • At least 3 years post qualification experience
  • Cardiac pacing & rhythm-management experience is essential

Nice to have:

  • Echocardiography and Cath lab experience, including coronary-intervention, device-implantation and electrophysiology, would be desirable
  • Professional qualifications to support specialist knowledge in cardiac pacing & rhythm-management would be desirable
