Job Description

At Optiver, you will find an environment of collaboration and passion for solving challenging problems. As a technology-enabled market maker, we combine diverse skill sets, unique minds, and a desire to continuously improve. Our campus recruitment strategy plays a critical role in identifying and developing future leaders across Trading, Technology, and Risk. We are looking for a Senior Campus Recruiter to help shape, evolve, and scale our early careers strategy in India. This role partners closely with the Head of Recruiting (India) and works at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution across India’s top institutes, particularly the IIT ecosystem. As a Senior Campus Recruiter, you will work alongside a high-performing team and take ownership of initiatives that define how Optiver attracts and engages elite campus talent. You’ll join a culture of collaboration and excellence, surrounded by curious thinkers and problem solvers who are driven to raise the bar every day. This role offers the opportunity to build category-defining campus programs in one of the most competitive talent markets globally.

Job Responsibility

  • Advancing Optiver’s campus recruitment strategy in India, with a strong focus on IITs and other top-tier institutions
  • Partnering closely with senior stakeholders to anticipate future talent needs and design scalable campus pipelines aligned to long-term workforce planning
  • Designing, building, and launching innovative campus programs (early identification programs, immersion experiences, pre-internship initiatives, and long-term engagement models)
  • Deepening and leveraging relationships with IIT placement cells, faculty, student leaders, societies, and key influencers, acting as a trusted and credible representative of Optiver on campus
  • Using a data-informed approach to assess funnel health, conversion trends, and program ROI, continuously iterating on what works
  • Driving a high-touch, high-bar candidate experience across all stages—from early engagement through offer acceptance and joining
  • Working closely with Recruitment Operations to ensure campus hiring processes are seamless, scalable, and enabled by clean data, technology, and automation
  • Acting as a thought partner to the Recruiting team, challenging assumptions, bringing new ideas, and shaping the future direction of the function

Requirements

  • 7–9 years of experience in campus or early-career recruitment, preferably in highly competitive environments (quant, trading, financial services, or top-tier product companies)
  • Proven experience working with IITs, with a strong understanding of placement cycles, campus dynamics, and stakeholder ecosystems
  • Well-networked and credible within top IIT circles (placement cells, faculty, student leadership)
  • A demonstrated ability to build programs from scratch, not just run existing processes
  • Strong ideation skills with the ability to translate ideas into structured, executable programs
  • Street-smart, pragmatic, and confident navigating ambiguity and high-stakes negotiations
  • Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and challenging the status quo with data and insight
  • Data-literate, with the ability to interpret recruiting metrics and make informed decisions
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a deep commitment to candidate experience and long-term impact

What we offer

  • A performance-based bonus structure unmatched anywhere in the industry, built on a shared global profit pool
  • The opportunity to work directly with senior leaders and influence long-term talent strategy
  • Continuous learning, development, and growth opportunities in a high-impact role
  • Daily breakfast, lunch, and access to an in-house barista
  • Gym or club membership, plus weekly massages
  • Comprehensive corporate health insurance
  • Uber business for daily commute
  • Regular social events and a company trip every two years
  • A fast-paced, ambitious team that takes pride in building world-class recruiting programs
