The Senior Cabin Design Engineer supports the development and customization of aircraft cabin and cargo interiors / payloads for airline customers. Duties include performing engineering design, analysis and integration of aircraft interior components and systems from initial conceptual phase to final product installation, and providing engineering support to airline customers in the operation of the aircraft.
Job Responsibility:
Autonomously perform moderate to complex levels of design solution development
Create or modify technical documents within various Airbus computer based applications with high quality and efficiency
Develop design solutions to a wide range of simple to routine technical problems
Review and interpret design data of aircraft structures and develop quality solutions
Collaborate with appropriate Airbus departments to develop optimum solutions
Perform functional and technical tasks with guidance
Identify and support local improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through process, methods and tools improvements
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field
9+ years total experience in design/analysis with cabin and cargo and/or system installation projects
Strong computer background, including MS Excel and Google Suite application experience (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Ability to understand and mentor principles within assigned discipline
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical aircraft topics
Excellent communication, coordination, and organization skills
Ability to inter-relate with and motivate diverse teams
Authorized to work in the US
Nice to have:
Software coding in C, C++, Python, or other programming languages
CATIA or 3D experience
