As a Senior Software Engineer in Retirement Plan Services Technology, you will be a technical leader for your development team. You will work with your fellow team members to consistently produce high-quality output by providing guidance and support for all facets of software delivery, including design, development, testing, deployment, tooling, and support. You will serve as a strong, versatile hands-on technical lead to deliver solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with design and develop software application systems mainly revolving around retirement plan administration
Participate on an agile team of developers, testers, product owners and scrum masters
Participate in discussions and engage other team members to flesh out system requirements where minimal information is provided
Design and build automated tests
Release applications to production environments on a regularly scheduled basis
Provide production application support for applications that require 99% uptime
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
10+ years of .NET design and development experience
Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented design, Microsoft SQL Server, SOAP and REST web services, CI/CD
A strong knowledge of, and demonstrated expertise in, software design, development, testing, maintenance, and support
Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to build rapport with and influence team members, peers, and partners
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex technical issues and solutions to peers and partners
Experience with Github and Copilot (or equivalent AI tools)
Nice to have:
Experience with building MCP servers and agentic workflows to automate internal SDLC tasks and enhance developer productivity
Hands-on experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
Experience with Test Driven Development and automated testing design
Experience with the Atlassian suite of products (Confluence, JIRA, Bamboo)
Familiarity with Cloud Platforms such as PCF, GCP, and AWS
Financial Services industry experience
