As Senior Buyer, you will be in charge of making sure our channel assortment is on-brand and optimized for all G-STAR O&O European stores and EU G-Star.com. You’re an expert when it comes to buying collections for both brick stores and .com that take into consideration our consumers’ needs. You are performance focused and will drive the sales across all channels, always looking for trading opportunities. You are a strategic thinker who can keep an eye on the bigger picture whilst working on the job at hand.

Job Responsibility:

  • Buy for all g-star.com, full price brick stores and outlet stores across all product groups for men and women
  • Attend trade weekly to track and monitor sales and be the commercial voice
  • Fulfil seasonal OTB to ensure opportunities are maximized for all own channels
  • Identify product needs for promotional activities such as Black Friday
  • Be responsible for fulfilling all MFO product needs
  • Ensure that target budgets for controlled are achieved and / or exceeded
  • Manage all Fast Track and SMU requests in a timely manner keeping all relevant departments informed
  • Keep in close contact with the merchandising team to highlight market trends and product opportunities
  • Work closely with the Merchandise Planning team
  • Work closely with the Head of Merchandising to develop strategies to grow G-STAR controlled business
  • Be the point of contact to communicate with the ecommerce team with regards to copy and product imagery for G-Star.com
  • Understand the customer needs for G-star.com with a specific focus per region and uses this information to make considered commercial decisions on a product level in conjunction with the director of ecommerce and digital trading
  • Shows innovation by challenging existing processes and practices to drive the business forward

Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Business and/or Fashion
  • At least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in selection buying in a fashion business
  • Experience collaborating with Merchandising, Merchandise Planning
  • Trading is at the core of what you do

  • Fully comfortable working in English
