We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee procurement activities to ensure the availability of essential materials, parts, and equipment while maintaining supplier relationships and optimizing inventory levels. This position requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing complex purchasing tasks and driving efficiency in supply chain operations.
Job Responsibility:
Manage procurement activities with both domestic and international suppliers, including issuing purchase orders, tracking shipments, and verifying transaction accuracy
Resolve discrepancies such as delivery shortages, over-shipments, pricing changes, and adjustments to order schedules, communicating updates to relevant stakeholders
Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to prepare and release requests for quotes (RFQs) and proposals (RFPs)
Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal departments to address procurement challenges and ensure smooth communication
Process non-conforming materials and handle Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) requests in collaboration with supply chain partners
Monitor inventory levels to align with company targets, making adjustments as needed to meet operational goals
Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and inventory data within Epicor, ensuring all records are up-to-date and reliable
Evaluate supplier performance on delivery timelines and quality standards, documenting performance metrics and discussions
Analyze and recommend changes to inventory parameters, such as safety stock and reorder points, to optimize supply chain efficiency
Assist with additional procurement tasks and initiatives, contributing to team objectives and overall operational success
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Operations Planning, or a related field preferred
Certifications in procurement, such as CPSM or CPM, are advantageous
At least five years of experience in procurement, including purchasing, inventory management, and supplier relationship management
Proficiency in Epicor or similar ERP systems, with a strong understanding of procurement processes
Experience with contract manufacturing and import freight logistics is beneficial
Knowledge of sourcing electronic components and interpreting technical specifications is required
Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Quality Control, and Production teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
