Job Description:

Our global technology consulting firm is seeking a high-caliber Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Financial Services practice in Downtown Toronto. This role acts as the critical bridge between high-level business strategy and technical execution, specifically focusing on complex data integrations and API-driven solutions within the Credit and Business Banking sectors.

Job Responsibility:

  • Transform high-level solutions from Architects into detailed requirements for Solution Designers and Developers
  • Map user journeys to API actions, define error-handling scenarios, and maintain comprehensive documentation in Swagger/Postman
  • Drive the creation of Source-to-Target mapping (STM), business process flows, and support process flows
  • Lead the creation of Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria, ensuring all downstream teams have a holistic understanding of the requirements
  • Perform root-cause analysis on data quality issues and support testing teams by translating use cases into performance and UAT test conditions
  • Build consensus between business and IT teams to resolve conflicts and secure technical sign-offs.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience as a Business Systems Analyst
  • strong background in the Financial Services industry
  • previous experience with Credit Banking or Business Banking applications is highly preferred
  • deep understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and Web Services
  • advanced expertise in data mapping and data integration
  • proven ability to investigate data quality issues and identify technical root causes
  • expert-level knowledge of Agile delivery practices and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate in a related field.

Nice to have:

Previous experience with Credit Banking or Business Banking applications.
