Job Description:

Senior Business Intelligence Consultant position using data analytic skills and methods to solve problems, create metrics and reports, perform analyses, provide feedback, and deliver insights to senior leaders to better run their business. This includes areas related to productivity, SLAs, capacity, and other operational performance metrics.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives within the Business Intelligence functional area
  • Contribute to large-scale planning related to business intelligence deliverables
  • Review and analyze moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges
  • Create diagnostic analytics and dashboards
  • Independently resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet data-related deliverables
  • Leverage understanding of data structures and domain specific knowledge to impact final data visualization product
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams and serve as a mentor for lower-level staff
  • Drive adoption of insights and metrics as a resource for the company

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of business intelligence and data visualization experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable BI platforms
  • Proficiency in data preparation, blending, and automation using tools such as Alteryx
  • Experience developing low-code applications using Microsoft Power Apps
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based data ecosystems, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Advanced analytical skills with proven ability to interpret large, complex datasets
  • Expertise in SQL Server environments including writing and optimizing complex stored procedures
  • Track record of modernizing legacy reporting systems
  • Experience with agile project management tools such as Jira and collaborative documentation platforms like Confluence
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to define and deliver operational metrics
  • Strong visual design sensibility
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-centric environment
