As the Senior Business Expansion Lead, Experiences (EMEA region), you will work with the global leadership of Experiences to drive overall business growth for Experiences. Starting in Paris, you will work with leadership across functions to ensure our teams across supply, global markets, product, community, and marketing are aligned to our regional and country-level priorities and goals. Your attention to detail, organization, ability to multitask, work on multiple priorities and work under pressure will all ensure you succeed. You will be the owner of the business in Paris, and the rest of EMEA, and will be responsible for developing the plan for both short and long term growth. You should be great at understanding the needs of the Airbnb community and defining levers to help them succeed in the platform. You will develop strong relationships and deliver valuable guidance to help them grow within the Airbnb marketplace. You will be the bridge between the central business team and EMEA, and will be required to ensure there is a constant feedback loop to ensure the global strategy translates to regional execution plans.
Job Responsibility:
Drive overall business growth for Experiences in the EMEA region
Work with leadership across functions to ensure teams across supply, global markets, product, community, and marketing are aligned to regional and country-level priorities and goals
Be the owner of the business in Paris, and the rest of EMEA, and be responsible for developing the plan for both short and long term growth
Understand the needs of the Airbnb community and define levers to help them succeed on the platform
Develop strong relationships and deliver valuable guidance to help them grow within the Airbnb marketplace
Be the bridge between the central business team and EMEA, ensuring a constant feedback loop to ensure the global strategy translates to regional execution plans
Shape the levers and approach that should be developed at the city level to grow our experiences business
Align all the functions and countries to achieve the objectives set up with the EMEA Leadership Team on Experiences goals and growth
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
Own relationships between the multiple functional teams within the regional teams to ensure key cross-functional stakeholders stay aligned on priorities and goals
Build the analysis and frameworks that will support the decisions taken in the country to achieve the goals
Work closely with Supply and Country Managers to ensure the local city designs are incorporated into the plans
Work closely with in-country teams to ensure experiences are integrated to country-level strategies and initiatives
Develop initiatives to attract new guests (drive demand) while enhancing loyalty and lifetime value while ensuring the Hosts quality and pricing are ‘smartly competitive’
Leverage analytical skills to translate data-driven insights into actionable operational plans that enhance the performance of the Experiences business
Work closely with the Central Business - Experiences Team and Supply - Experiences Team to identify and pursue new markets, guest segments, and business opportunities
Work closely with Strategy Finance and Advanced Analytics teams to continue to further develop and grow the region and create operational efficiencies for Experiences
Travel required
Requirements:
15+ years experience in consulting position, or strategy operations role and working across Europe and USA
Proven experience in leading strategic and tactical execution within a large organization, with the ability to advise management on complex projects or issues
Significant experience leading business expansion initiatives
Strong analytical abilities combined with a deep understanding of guest needs and market dynamics
Experience working cross-functionally with product, marketing, sales operations and enablement teams
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with excellent organization skills
Pays attention to both details and macro-level outcomes
Seasoned internal and external communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Data driven, can do attitude, strategic thinker and passion for new products and solutions
Comfortable with Excel, with preference for those with SQL experience
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working independently to execute complex programs
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and ever changing startup environment
Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity
Strong appetite for working with the Airbnb community
