As the Senior Business Development Manager (Utilities & Net Zero) for 3t you will be responsible for delivering customer centric solutions, drawing on the capabilities from across 3t, to exceed customer expectations and deliver service excellence. Utilising the solution sets from within our key verticals of Training, Simulation and Digital, your primary focus will be to develop and implement strategic plans to identify and target major energy sector, utilities, and power generation companies in the UK and global markets for selling 3t solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within the target organisations
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and competitors' activities to inform sales strategies and tactics
Generate leads, qualify prospects, and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing
Collaborate with the internal sales team to develop customized proposals and presentations that effectively demonstrate the 3t value proposition
Create a high-performance sales culture with your colleagues
putting clients’ needs at the heart of everything we do
Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives, contributing to the overall growth and profitability of 3t
Identify cross sell opportunities with clients to present other solutions from within the 3t stable of products and services
Stay updated on industry regulations, certifications, and standards related to the construction, rail, energy sector, utilities, and power generation to effectively position the 3t offering
Use all the 3t CRM systems to source data and accurately record sales activity
Requirements:
Proven track record of successfully selling complex B2B services, preferably within the construction, rail, or utilities industry
Solutions orientated sales mindset, listening to customer challenges and pain points and tailoring solutions appropriate to meet needs
Strong understanding of training and workforce development needs within the target industries
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with senior-level executives
Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets
Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required
Proven experience in consultative sales or business development roles
