Job Description

As a (Senior) Business Development Manager - Product Marketing, you will shape and drive the strategic development of the Product Marketing approach for our own brand, the Westwing Collection, while ensuring strong cross-functional alignment across all marketing channels. In this highly analytical and strategic role, you combine commercial understanding, hypothesis-driven thinking, and customer-centric decision making to identify growth opportunities, strengthen product positioning, and maximise the impact of our key product families. You will play a key role in strategy development, continuously evolve our product promotion approach, and translate insights into impactful initiatives that drive both short-term performance and long-term brand building. This position is permanent and based in Munich.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive the strategic development and continuous evolution of the Product Marketing approach for the Westwing Collection across categories and Marketing Channels
  • Define and drive strategic growth initiatives across product families and categories, balancing short-term commercial impact with long-term brand positioning
  • Analyse category, product family, and campaign performance to identify business opportunities, derive actionable insights, and recommend optimisation measures, utilising automation and AI where applicable
  • Define product positioning and Go-to-Market approaches based on customer behavior, competitor landscapes, and market potential
  • Develop hypotheses, drive testing, and identify scalable levers to improve product visibility, conversion, and marketing effectiveness
  • Partner closely with Marketing Channels (such as Performance Marketing, Social Media, Creator Marketing), Brand Marketing, Retail, Product Management, and Analytics teams to align on priorities, product pushes, launches, and cross-functional initiatives

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of experience in Business Development, Consulting, Growth Management, or a similar role
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to structure complex problems and derive actionable solutions
  • Hypothesis-driven mindset with experience testing, validating, and iterating initiatives based on data and customer insights
  • Excellent commercial understanding and ability to connect business performance with marketing and customer behavior
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment
  • Hands-on mentality with the ability to move between strategic development and operational execution in a fast-paced environment
