Deezer’s NBD team is in charge of exploring and launching new growth opportunities through innovative B2B partnerships. The team focuses on prospecting, opening doors with new verticals and partners, and building the first steps of collaborations that can then be scaled across markets.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the full partnership lifecycle: from market mapping, prospecting and first contact, to negotiation, deal structuring and contract signature
Build and prioritize a qualified pipeline of prospects across key verticals (telcos, media & publishing, SVOD & entertainment, utilities, financial services, and new categories to be defined)
Design partnership value propositions and business models (bundles, co-branded offers, embedded distribution, loyalty mechanics) supported by robust financial and business modelling
Drive cross-functional alignment with Product, Tech, Legal, Finance, Marketing and local markets to secure internal sign-off and ensure feasibility and profitability of deals
Coordinate pilots and launches, acting as NBD referent during the first phases before handover to Account Management / Partnerships teams for scaling
Identify optimization levers for new deals based on the performance analysis of running deals
Monitor competitive landscape for subscription‑based and content partnerships and identify white spaces where Deezer can differentiate
Represent Deezer in senior external meetings and industry events, acting as a trusted counterpart for C-level and VP-level stakeholders at partner organizations
Requirements:
5-10 years of experience in Business Development, Partnerships, Strategy or similar roles, ideally in digital subscription
Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating and closing complex B2B or B2B2C partnerships with Tier 1 partners (telcos, banks, large platforms, etc.)
Strong understanding of subscription economics, with the ability to build and challenge financial and business models (ARPU, churn, lifetime value, revenue share, minimum guarantees, etc.)
Excellent communication and storytelling skills in English and French, both written and verbal
additional languages are a plus
Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders (C-level / VP) externally and driving alignment across multiple internal teams and countries
Highly organized, able to manage multiple deals and projects in parallel, and to balance quick wins with longer-term strategic bets
Advanced command of Excel and PowerPoint (or Google Sheets / Slides) for modelling and building partner-facing presentations
Strong interest in the music, tech and entertainment ecosystem
being excited to work in a music‑oriented environment is a real plus
