Job Description

This is a critical, first-in-market, and self-sufficient senior role responsible for establishing Global-e’s presence in Taiwan and driving new customer acquisition, reporting directly to APAC leadership. As Senior Business Development Manager (Taiwan Market Launcher), you will act as the market launcher for Taiwan — identifying target verticals, developing go-to-market plans, and building the initial merchant ecosystem. This position requires an entrepreneurial operator capable of working independently without a local office or established support structure. You will own the full sales cycle to significantly increase our market share, from identifying and connecting with key business executives and stakeholders, to clearly articulating the strategic value of our solution, and collaborating with cross-functional internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery according to client needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as the market launcher for Taiwan: identify target verticals, develop go-to-market strategies, and build the initial merchant ecosystem
  • Build partnerships with key ecosystem players — agencies, logistics providers, and payment partners — to drive inbound leads and strengthen market presence
  • Represent Global-e at local industry events and forums to establish brand recognition and visibility
  • Deliver structured market feedback (competitive insights, regulatory changes, merchant needs) directly to APAC leadership
  • Expand our market share by aggressively growing net new business
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial demo to closing, partnering with internal teams such as Sales Development Executives, Solutions Engineers, and Partnership Managers
  • Negotiate pricing and business terms with SMB and Enterprise E-commerce retailers, selling on value and ROI (Return on Investment)
  • Build lasting, consultative relationships with C-level executives in target customers
  • Consistently deliver quarterly forecast commitments by achieving or exceeding sales quotas
  • Forecast and manage your sales pipeline to meet revenue targets and company goals

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct B2B SaaS/eCommerce/payments experience, ideally in cross-border enablement
  • Demonstrated experience in launching new markets or building pipelines independently
  • Strong local network among Taiwanese retail, fashion, lifestyle, and DTC brands
  • Comfortable operating without a local office or established support structure
  • Proven history of net new business sales and consistent target achievement
  • Credible at all levels, with evidence of building strong relationships internally and externally with SMB and Enterprise customers
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Chinese and English
  • Must be located in Taiwan
