Job Description

As, a Senior Business Development Manager at Sokin, you will act as the initial point of contact for prospective corporate clients across the mid-market and enterprise segments. You will be responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and engaging high-value opportunities, building a strong pipeline that supports long-term client relationships. This is a high-impact commercial role designed for an ambitious individual looking to develop into a future sales leader. You will gain strong exposure to SOKIN’s suite of solutions — including global payments and receivables, FX, and treasury management — and work closely with sophisticated businesses to support their cross-border financial needs. You will be equipped with best-in-class tools, and a proven sales playbook to enable success.

Job Responsibility

  • Proactively identify, research, and develop new business opportunities across the mid-market and enterprise segments through LinkedIn, CRM intelligence, partner referrals, targeted outbound prospecting, and other channels
  • Conduct structured qualification by evaluating client needs, treasury requirements, FX exposure, and complexities across international payments and cross-border receivables
  • Lead initial engagement with senior stakeholders and decision-makers, leveraging a multi-channel approach across email, phone, LinkedIn, and strategic social outreach
  • Secure and coordinate high-value discovery calls and commercial meetings, ensuring opportunities are well-qualified and positioned for progression through the sales pipeline
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders — including Marketing, Compliance, Product, and Client Onboarding — to drive seamless opportunity conversion and an exceptional prospect experience
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and commercially relevant documentation of all activity, pipeline status, and prospect insights within the CRM, ensuring visibility and reporting integrity
  • Support the planning and execution of outbound campaigns and targeted go-to-market initiatives across assigned sectors, regions, or strategic verticals
  • Consistently deliver against performance objectives, including weekly activity benchmarks and monthly qualified opportunity targets, contributing to overall revenue growth and pipeline health
  • Build commercial knowledge across international markets, enterprise sales methodology, FX and treasury solutions, while leveraging ongoing development opportunities within SOKIN’s broader commercial organisation

Requirements

  • 6+ years of proven enterprise sales experience, with a strong track record of managing complex, high-value deals and long sales cycles across senior stakeholder groups
  • Recognised champion and advocate within their specialist field, demonstrating deep market expertise, thought leadership, and the ability to influence customers and internal teams
  • Strong ability to conduct high-quality discovery and structured qualification, uncovering commercial priorities, operational pain points, and treasury requirements to position solutions effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, compelling, and value-driven messaging tailored to finance leaders and decision-makers (CFO, FD, Treasurer, Head of Finance)
  • Commercially sharp, with strong business acumen and the ability to prioritise opportunities based on value, urgency, and strategic fit
  • Naturally curious and coachable, with a growth mindset and commitment to developing into a trusted advisor for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong CRM discipline and a structured approach to pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting
  • Tech-savvy and confident using modern sales tools and CRM systems (Zoho experience is an advantage)
