This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded optical professional to combine clinical credibility with commercial influence, working closely with optical practices, clinicians, and business owners to drive growth, education, and customer engagement.
Job Responsibility
Develop and manage relationships with optical practices and key stakeholders across the South West region
Deliver training, education and coaching programmes to clinicians and practice teams
Support customers in identifying and implementing growth opportunities
Develop and execute customer-specific business plans
Influence clinical and commercial decision-making through consultative engagement
Collaborate with internal commercial and clinical teams to achieve territory objectives
Identify opportunities to increase customer engagement and service adoption
Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, customer needs and competitor activity
Represent the organisation at industry events, educational programmes and professional meetings
Requirements
GOC-registered Optometrist, Contact Lens Optician (CLO) or Dispensing Optician (DO), or Strong Optical Experience
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset
Excellent presentation and influencing ability
Ability to manage a large geographical territory effectively
Full UK Driving Licence
Nice to have
Experience within optical sales, account management, business development or training
Experience working with optical practices or healthcare customers
Strong understanding of the UK optical market
Experience delivering education, coaching or clinical training
