Job Description:

As a Senior Business Controller, you will serve several business teams within Benelux-France region for our IWS business line (Industrial Waste Services. You provide clear financial reports, planning and analyses. Through the periodic closures, you contribute to the annual budget preparation and long-term planning. Together with your colleagues, you present the business review meetings to the management. You will also contribute actively to the further development of business controlling by incorporating new technologies, such as AI. Beyond your controlling responsibilities, you will lead and manage the Business Controlling team of four in Belgium. This includes coaching and mentoring team members, setting clear objectives, and fostering a culture of collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in economics with very good financial knowledge and a keen interest in the business context
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and familiarity with SAP/S4 Hana
  • Accurate, analytical and critical, proactive and focused on continuous improvement
  • Interest to lead and coach the team is a must
  • Fluent in Dutch and English

  • Perform control current state and gap assessments and identify enhancements needed
  • Document business requirements to enable the implementation of 1LoD preventative and detective data quality controls
  • Drive control enhancements related to CDE DQ validations, including supporting the business through UAT and production parallel testing
  • Lead working groups and/or scrums with stakeholders and technology partners to manage the delivery within the agreed timeline(s)
  • Execute Price Risk data quality controls as defined in TOM and MCA
  • Monitor and provide governance and oversight over Price Risk CDE DQ controls, including DQ metrics, insightful project update materials and artifacts
  • Identify and understand the DQ issues aligned with that data set including end-to-end data flows and controls and ensure these are addressed in the defined target state solution with robust controls
