We are seeking a Senior Business Architect to provide advanced architectural leadership for a major Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementation. This role is critical for navigating the Corporate Architecture Review Board (CARB) gates, specifically focusing on the AGP 2 phase. You will ensure that all business, information, and software requirements align with enterprise standards and strategic healthcare objectives. Job Responsibility:
Develop Information, Business, and System Architecture documents ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory expectations
Lead the project through CARB checkpoints and AGP 2 milestones
author governance deliverables and secure necessary approvals
Design Value Chains, Value Stream Mapping, and BPMN 2.0 collaboration diagrams to visualize complex business processes
Produce functional and non-functional requirements, data models, data dictionaries, and system use cases to support integration planning
Perform impact and risk analysis (TRA, RMR), environmental scans, and feasibility assessments of solution options including cost and organizational readiness
Facilitate JAD sessions and bridge the gap between technical SMEs and healthcare professionals to review design gaps and triage defects
Support UAT planning, test strategy development, and readiness assessments for final deployment
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in business architecture for large-scale implementations, including n-tier applications and case management solutions
Proven experience implementing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) solutions and working on large-scale digital health projects
Demonstrated experience navigating the Ontario Public Sector (OPS) architecture gating process and enterprise standards
Experience in healthcare, with a strong preference for correctional healthcare settings or knowledge of Corrections business rules
Expertise in using modeling software such as PowerDesigner or Enterprise Architect for information and business canvas modeling
Experience working with Agile frameworks (burndown, estimation) and knowledge of Change Management (ADKAR)
Lean Six Sigma is a strong asset
Exceptional ability to brief ministry management and officials on complex architectural risks and strategies
