This is a Senior Analyst role responsible for supporting the analysis and implementation of product, system and operational initiatives supporting changes in Mastercard's business environment with a specialized focus on Settlement Service offerings, settlement/liquidity risks, controls, policies, and operations. Liaise between the business and IT, eliciting and translating external and internal customer needs into IT objectives, identifying possible solutions, and defining project requirement. Have a deep knowledge of customer needs, products and services.
Job Responsibility:
Manages medium-sized projects/initiatives as an individual contributor with knowledge in global payments and settlement discipline, leading a segment of several initiatives or contributing to a larger initiative
Translate communicated customer needs into specific objectives
Identify solutions for less complex, more common issues
Define settlement project requirements and priorities, estimate necessary resources and develop detailed selection evaluation criteria
Coordinate impact to vendor and company workflow for a new product
Understand business context and market dynamics including Regulatory, Legal, Competitive and Technology landscapes
Leverage a thorough understanding of the Agile Software Development Lifecycle methodology to partner with Product Management – Technical and Software Development Guilds to develop scalable and sustainable products
Partner with and incorporates feedback from cross-functional stakeholders
Drive institutionalized knowledge with consistent product documentation (e.g., support documents) across the framework
Requirements:
Moderate professional experience in financial services, cards, payments or another related field
Understands MasterCard's product delivery process
Experience working at MasterCard facilities and on Customer business locations
Analysis or testing experience required
Experience building relationships and working with technical, business and financial partners
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
Strong understanding of software methodologies (i.e. functionality & limitations)
Requires less supervision
Payments and Banking experience is preferred
Proven ability to perform detailed numerical analysis and data interpretation using Microsoft Excel and other relevant analytical tools
Bachelor's in finance or similar field or equivalent work experience required
Nice to have:
Good leadership skills preferred
Proficiency in multiple languages is desirable
Spanish language capability is particularly preferred
