Job Description:

12 month engagement + extensions. The new Senior Business Analysts will work on business systems and processes, developing artefacts and ensuring proposed improvements are well-understood and communicated.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work with stakeholders to identify and analyse the current state and desired future state of business systems and processes
  • Gather and document requirements using departmental templates
  • Take a user centred design approach to the development of Business Analyst artefacts
  • Analyse and model business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop comprehensive business process models, roadmaps, and implementation plans
  • Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to leverage data and analytics for process improvement and informed decision-making
  • Compile and present data, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders and executives
  • Create data models, process diagrams, and wireframes to visualize potential solutions
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts, end users, product owners, change managers, architects, developers, database administrators, testers and trainers to design and deliver solutions

Requirements:

  • Exceptional ability to confidently elicit and define epics, user stories & acceptance criteria following best practice principles as well as identifying and defining non-functional requirements (NFR)
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to facilitate interviews, workshops and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders to successfully document business processes and requirements
  • Ability and experience in the application of user centred design principles and tools including personas, service blueprints and journey maps
  • Experience applying Business Analysis practice to Business Problems supporting solution development in an emerging technology area
  • Seven+ years experience in a similar role
  • Must have a valid NV2 or TSPV security clearance
  • Candidate must be an Australian citizen

  • Strong organisational and time management skills are needed to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
