FinXL IT is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our consulting team at a leading general insurance organisation. You will support a major multi-year initiative digitising the claims lifecycle and uplifting operational models across Australia. This program is reshaping how property claims are fulfilled by replacing legacy tools (OPUS) with cutting-edge platforms, including Crunchwork, Google Cloud, and ClaimCenter V8. You will work across the full spectrum-from lodgement to repair and audit-bridging the gap between internal teams and an extensive builder/supplier network.
Job Responsibility:
Process Re-design: Lead end-to-end process mapping to introduce smarter workflows, automation, and improved data flow
Solution Translation: Articulate complex business needs into technical requirements for delivery teams and interpret technical jargon for business stakeholders
Operating Model Change: Support the redesign of key roles, including Field/Desktop Assessors and Suppliers
Workshop Facilitation: Lead large-scale workshops across cross-functional business areas to drive consensus and decision-making
Problem Solving: Navigate ambiguity and resolve contention within a complex, high-pressure program environment
Business Readiness: Support the rollout of transformation initiatives to the builder network and internal divisions
Requirements:
Senior Business Analyst, with a strong background in general insurance working across a wide range of projects, with particular emphasis on risk and regulatory projects in the general insurance industry
5 years'+ experience across a wide range of projects e.g., business & tech transformation, application development and process re-design
Proven experience in achieving program and complex business and transformation deliverables
A business focused Business Analyst with experience in functional and technical analysis
Ability to facilitate large groups of multiple cross functional business areas within a larger program of work
Ability to articulate complex business needs so that they can be understood by technical teams for delivery and interpret technical terminology to enable business understanding
An effective problem solver, driving pathways through ambiguity, and facilitating decision making to resolve contention
Effective stakeholder management skills
