The Business Analyst will be part of a team of experts charged with providing support in the areas of cyber analysis and cyber development capabilities in response to Navy’s and DoD’s needs for Cyber Situational Awareness (SA), Cyber Command and Control (C2), Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense. Program scope includes identifying cyber key terrain by analyzing operational requirements, conducting cyber analyses and assessments, and developing and performing modeling and simulation in support of different cyber threat scenarios. The team will conduct cyber analyses and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks, determine mission and operational impacts, and make appropriate mitigation recommendations. Additionally, program support includes developing methodology and framework in support of cyber risk assessment life cycle. Our team will provide capabilities to support the customer with rapid design, development, test, deployment, maintenance and operation of specific software and hardware capabilities to meet current Cyber Defensive needs.
Job Responsibility:
Performing and attending scrum ceremonies as part of an agile development effort including work item refinement, stand-up, sprint planning, PI planning, and Business Analyst and Product Owner syncs
Playing a lead role in requirement analysis and algorithm evaluation
Acquiring domain knowledge about the program and legacy system
Facilitating conversations with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
Identifying business needs and requirements through user story creation
Completing wireframes to illustrate overarching functionality
Maintaining close communication with the Product Owner
Creating valid dependency strategies at a user story level
Coordinating with developers on necessary enablers
Holding responsibility with PO and Tester to ensure products work as intended
Analysis of business logic defined by end-users, existing legacy system documentation, and existing legacy software
Ability to travel up to 30%
Requirements:
Must have an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
BS and 8-10 years experience, MS and 6-8 years experience, or PhD and 3-5 years experience
Experience in software engineering activities (analysis, requirements, design, code, test)
Experience with collaborative tools such as GitLab, Jira, Confluence, etc.
Experience creating process flows, use cases and user stories
Experience with DevSecOps including Docker containerized microservices, RedHat OpenShift platform, and Jenkins CI/CD pipeline
Experience acting as a Proxy-Product Owner
Ability to understand and solve technical problems
Ability to work as a member of a self-organizing team without daily direct supervision
Ability to communicate effectively within a large, dynamic team environment
Ability to work directly with a variety of program stakeholders including sponsors, end-users, and contractors
Willingness to try new things and grow
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Visio and Project
