Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst for a 12 month contract in Toronto. This is a hybrid role 3 days per week onsite.

Job Responsibility:

Provides holistic leadership across business analysis, project outcomes, and team of business analysts aligning their expertise with agile methodologies and ensuring effective collaboration
Interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their requirements through gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs and requirements
Prepares and advises on business analysis policies, processes, best practices, and standards to promote a comprehensive and consistent business analysis practice
Fosters effective communication between the team, Product Owner, and stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of goals and requirements
Manage / groom product backlog based on user needs / prioritization input
Single point of contact for business analysis, agile leadership, and team coordination minimizing communication gaps, reducing the risk of misinterpretation, and promote more effective project outcomes
Prepares training materials, training sessions on project delivery methodology in accordance with guidelines
Lead presentations / demonstrations of solution design and build for consultation group and stakeholders
Create & review the user flows and user stories, and ensure they meet the overall product vision and consistency across features
Support QA, UAT , Architecture, and Technical activities to facilitate quality and enterprise standards are met
Support agile practices and encourage the improvement of service
Identify gaps and improvements for enhance process flows/customer experience journeys
Responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle working closely with product owner, including: Gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, Defining the product vision, Ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals
Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
Interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their requirements through gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs and requirements
Monitors progress, resolves problems and reports regularly to management and stakeholders
Conduct discovery, cost benefit analysis and prototyping
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
Work closely with business and IT teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
Identifies dependencies with other teams and determines how to manage those dependencies without impacting the progress of the team

Requirements:

Knowledge and experience with Agile Information and Information Technology (I&IT) methods and techniques associated with the development and implementation of enterprise architecture frameworks
10 years of experience with BA
Strong Business Analysis, BRDs, user stories (DevOps)
working on high-complex projects
Very strong Communication skills
Strong planning and UAT experience
Strong stakeholder Management
Strong documentation experience
manage and groom product backlog

Nice to have:

Strong Project Management / planning background
Prior experience as a Techno-functional BA
Product Management background
