Fundamentally, this job involves taking overall responsibility for eliciting, understanding and translating requirements and mapping them to the Microsoft Business Application technologies we use to deliver them.

Job Responsibility

Rapid prototyping client requirements
Driving the business towards early design decisions through entity modelling
Assisting customers in mapping high level business requirements to low level functional requirements and identifying issues and opportunities for improvement
Challenging assumptions
Identifying risk and providing solutions
Influencing stake holders both internally and with clients
Ensuring requirements demonstrate business value
Performing ‘Fit Gap’ analysis as part of process design exercises
Mapping ‘As Is’ and ‘To Be’ processes
Playing a part in solution envisioning
Playing a part in the presales process
Working with Solution and Enterprise Architects, Business owners, and Business Analyst Teams to understand fully customers requirements and document accordingly
Leading client workshops to scope and define projects
Prioritising and executing tasks for each project
Modelling, POC’s and both lo-fi and hi-fi wire frames
Leading User first training programmes
Liaising with client business owners, business analysts and development teams to confirm requirements in the context of the platform, software or tools chosen to deliver
Managing the end-to-end requirements management process in Azure DevOps
Playing a part in test cycles to support QA testers and business users when resolving issues and bugs
Ensuring requirements traceability at each stage
Managing and measuring solution benefits mapped to business cases
Ensuring systems and changes are smoothly transitioned into operation including supporting documentation and required user training
Managing the scope of work
Providing work estimates and Demo's
Mentoring junior Business Analysts
Providing clear direction to more junior BA’s at project level
Promoting the BA function across the organisation
Enhancing standards and process at a practice level
Identifying opportunities for new business within existing engagements

Requirements

Senior Business Analyst experience
Demonstrable experience delivering Business Applications projects
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional communication skills
Results focused
Understanding of different approaches when eliciting requirements in both waterfall and agile projects
Experience with no-code / low code tools such as configurable CRM systems, Power Apps, Dynamics 365 or similar tooling
Ability to prepare for and conduct requirements workshops
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Must complete a client side security clearance check

Nice to have

Experience within rapid prototyping, especially within Microsoft D365
Comfortable creating working interactive prototypes
