Job Description:

SoundCloud is looking for a sharp, technically savvy Senior Business Analyst to generate and document technical requirements for consent, privacy and regulatory engineering needs. You'll be the knowledge owner of goals and implementation details, working with program/project managers and engineering teams to shake out actionable specifications.

Job Responsibility:

  • Requirements Gathering: work with Business and Legal Affairs program management to understand privacy, consent, and regulatory priorities and generate detailed technical requirements
  • Roadmapping: work with program management to create and maintain engineering and delivery roadmaps
  • Risk Assessment: work with program / project management to identify risks associated with various initiatives
  • Instinct vs process: be a critical thinker focused on North Star success criteria
  • Relationship building: build and nurture relationships across the org

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or the equivalent hands-on experience
  • 5–8+ years as a business analyst with progressive responsibility in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable, and testable requirements
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in facilitating discussions, balancing competing priorities, and building consensus
  • Experienced in creating effective requirements documentation, process flows, and other artifacts
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and adapt
  • Proficiency with requirements and visualization tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro, Google Sheets, Slides)
