Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in Capital Markets and Electronic/Algorithmic Trading. The assigned candidate will act as the key link between Trading, Business and IT, translating complex business requirements into technical solutions while supporting the evolution of trading platforms and related systems. This role requires extensive experience within investment banking or financial environments, combined with a solid understanding of algorithmic trading workflows and technical architectures.

Job Responsibility

  • Gather, analyse and document complex business and functional requirements
  • Act as the interface between Front Office, Trading, Business stakeholders and IT delivery teams
  • Analyse existing trading processes and identify opportunities for optimisation
  • Support the design and enhancement of trading platforms and related applications
  • Work closely with Solution Architects, Developers and Technical Leads to ensure successful implementation
  • Produce high-quality functional specifications, process documentation and business analysis artefacts
  • Facilitate workshops and drive discussions with technical and business stakeholders
  • Support architecture and design decisions from a business analysis perspective
  • Ensure solutions align with regulatory and governance requirements within the trading environment

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Proven experience within Capital Markets, Investment Banking or Electronic/Algorithmic Trading
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end trading processes, including Order Management, Execution and Trade Capture
  • Experience working on trading platforms or front-office applications
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams
  • Technical understanding of software development environments
  • Knowledge of Python, Java and C#
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments is beneficial
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as MiFID 2, RTS6 etc. is considered an advantage
  • Fluent English (mandatory)
  • German is an advantage but not mandatory
