Senior Building Surveyor

• Inspecting and advising on the design, construction, maintenance, and refurbishment of commercial buildings
• Preparing detailed reports, schedules of works, and specifications
• Leading refurbishment and reinstatement projects using recognised building contracts
• Acting as Lead Consultant or Project Manager on higher-value schemes
• Advising on and applying statutory legislation including Building Regulations, CDM 2015, the Building Safety Act, and Party Wall matters
• Managing and negotiating dilapidations on behalf of landlords and tenants
• Supporting and mentoring APC candidates
• Playing an active role in business development, representing the consultancy and securing future work
• Understanding and interpreting legal documents including leases and development agreements

• MRICS Accredited
• A strong technical understanding of building pathology and contract administration
• Experience working across sectors, particularly commercial properties
• Comfortable managing complex projects and multiple stakeholders
• Working knowledge of relevant legislation and health & safety
• Sound report writing and negotiation skills
• Insurance reinstatement and defect diagnosis experience (preferred)
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Methodical, problem-solving mindset

• £60,000 – £70,000 (DOE)
