Job Description:

A Chartered Senior Building Surveyor role for a multi-disciplinary consultancy based in London. Responsibilities include leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and overseeing delivery of high-value schemes. The company values technical excellence and professional development.

Job Responsibility:

Take the lead on a variety of building surveying projects
Conduct technical due diligence and defects analysis
Manage project delivery and contract administration
Work closely with clients and provide strategic advice
Oversee the delivery of high-value schemes from inception to completion
Mentor junior colleagues
Play a key role in growing the team’s client base and reputation

Requirements:

A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
MRICS (or significant progress towards chartership)
A full UK driving licence and access to transport
A deep understanding of building construction and property law, including the Party Wall etc. Act 1996
Strong experience across building surveys, contract administration, and pre-contract matters
Familiarity with the JCT suite and other standard forms of building contract
Capable of producing detailed reports, drawings, schedules, and contract documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A passion for mentoring junior staff and sharing expertise
