A client of mine, a multi-disciplinary Construction Consultancy who are not only a specialist within their space, but also at the forefront of the built environment industry, are keen to speak with a talented Senior Building Surveyor, with a view to joining their growing team across London, Kent, or Brighton. Offering the successful Building Surveyor the opportunity to work on a wide range of high-profile and complex projects across both the public and private sectors, as well as a clear pathway for career progression within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Job Responsibility:
Managing projects of varied size and complexity, from feasibility through to delivery
Acting as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent on a range of schemes
Preparing design specifications, tender documentation, and client reports
Conducting condition surveys, acquisition and dilapidation assessments, and defect analysis
Advising clients on procurement routes, statutory approvals, and building regulations compliance
Supporting and mentoring junior team members
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining client satisfaction
Requirements:
Degree in Building Surveying or a related field
Ideally MRICS qualified, or working towards chartership
Strong technical background and understanding of building pathology
Excellent client-facing and communication skills
Experience delivering projects through all RIBA stages
Comprehensive understanding of CDM and construction health and safety
Ability to manage workload effectively and work both independently and as part of a team
