Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and develop the organisation’s Building Safety service, ensuring high standards and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee key functions including remediation programmes, Safety Case production, resident engagement, site inspections, and Golden Thread data management
  • Drive service efficiency, commercial effectiveness, and consistently high-quality delivery across all Building Safety activities
  • Act as a senior leader within the Building Safety & Compliance team, helping shape strategy, drive innovation, and respond to changing regulations
  • Manage and develop a team of five specialists, fostering accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement
  • Champion and embed a strong Building Safety culture through training, competency development, and career pathways
  • Provide visible leadership across the organisation and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and residents
  • Continuously improve processes, systems, and practices to ensure a market‑leading service across a growing property portfolio

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional qualifications in Building Safety and/or Fire Safety (e.g. Level 6 Building Safety, NEBOSH Fire or equivalent)
  • Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. MCIOB, MIFireE, MRICS, IOSH, MIFSM), or working towards
  • Strong working knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety legislation, and associated guidance
  • Demonstrable experience managing high-rise residential buildings and delivering remediation and compliance programmes
  • Proven experience in Safety Case production, risk management, and regulatory engagement
  • Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, driving accountability and continuous improvement
  • Experience overseeing inspections, audits, and assurance activities across a portfolio
  • Strong understanding of Golden Thread requirements and data/information management
