The Brokerage Sales Team owns client growth across acquisitions, dispositions, bulk syndication, and transactions title & escrow. We compete with national tech-enabled brokerages, institutional-focused platforms, and local operators. Our goal is simple: be the first call for every serious SFR investor transacting at scale. As a Senior Brokerage Sales Associate, you aren’t just a salesperson - you are a trusted advisor to institutional and scaled SFR operators. You will sit at the intersection of strategy, data, and execution, leveraging Mainstay’s technology to deliver differentiated outcomes for our clients.
Job Responsibility:
Pitch and onboard new institutional clients onto Mainstay’s transaction platform while aggressively expanding our “share of wallet” within existing accounts
Use portfolio and market insights to proactively identify acquisition and disposition opportunities for your clients
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex, in-flight deal issues, maintaining composure and sound judgment under pressure
Act as the voice of the client, influencing our Product and Data Science teams to improve our platform based on frontline feedback
Translate complex data sets into actionable insights using Excel and Slides to drive client decision-making
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in SFR brokerage, institutional residential real estate, or a closely related transaction sales role (ex. Financial sales & trading, commercial RE brokerage, appraisal/valuation, title, commodities/freight, etc.)
Proven track record of managing and growing relationships with sophisticated, scaled operators
Advanced excel modeling skills and the “data fluency” to draw strategic conclusions from raw information
Ability to collaborate with and influence internal Operations, Product, and Data Science teams
Exceptional presentation skills and the charisma to maintain frequent, high-value touchpoints with senior clients
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Ability to write SQL queries for self-service data insights
