Senior Bridge Engineer

• Completing and checking complex engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and estimates for the designs of concrete and precast decks, steel and concrete superstructures, integral and semi-integral abutments, wingwalls, culverts and retaining walls
• Management of technical tasks and relevant staff
• Provide operational and project management support to the bridge lead
• Provide technical development of a variety of bridge projects of various sizes and designs
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final design documents
• Oversee work, quality control, client coordination and all daily technical aspects of projects assigned to you
• Technical task management
• Leading bridge design tasks
• Staff development
• Assist with business development

• 8 plus years of experience in Bridge Engineering
• BS/MS in Civil Engineering
• PE License preferred
• Demonstrated technical experience
• Micro-station and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
• Working knowledge of AASHTO Design Guidelines
• Structural design codes including AASHTO LRFD and AASHTO LRFR
• Structure design software including MIDAS
• Familiarity with providing services to NHDOT and/or VTrans
• Ability to mentor and develop staff
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work within fast-paced, team-oriented workplace
